Why Afghanistan

IMG_0117_JPGWar often does the most harm to civilians, affecting women and children the most severely.

This is all too true of the nation of Afghanistan, where 4.2 million children, the majority of them female, are currently denied education and only 27% of Afghanistan’s rural population has access to clean drinking water.  Reeling from decades of war and political unrest, families lack the basic necessities of survival.

We at AAFF find these statistics to be unacceptable and working with the people of Afganistan to rebuild hope, one community at a time.
